Iain Thomson was born in Aberdeen on 11th June 1946, though he’s lived nearly all his life in Surrey. He went to the Kingston Polytechnic for a degree in Sociology. He became a Social Secretary while he was also a bass player in several bands. Today Thomson, regularly called Thump, lives in Shepperton with his wife Wendy. They have two children and two grandchildren. Thump is now a published author, having written about a dozen books. Four of them are on the architect Frank Lloyd Wright who Thomson regards as a hero.
