Dyson Air Multiplier™ fans work differently from conventional fans. They use Air Multiplier™ technology to draw in air and amplify it – from 15 to 18 times, depending on the model. With no blades or grille, they’re safe and easy to clean. And they produce an uninterrupted stream of smooth air, with no unpleasant buffeting.

James Dyson

James Dyson studied art and design in London at the Byam Shaw School of Art and The Royal College of Art. He is best known for inventing the first bagless vacuum cleaner, which took fifteen years and over 5,000 prototypes to perfect. When Dyson could not find a manufacturer for his patented dual cyclone™ vacuum technology, he established his own factory and research center in Wiltshire, England. He believes that function dictates form: “everything on the dyson Vacuum cleaner has a purpose. Its distinctive look is determined by the functionality, first and foremost. The clear bin isn’t an artistic statement. it just shows you when you need to empty it.”
In 2000, he received an honorary doctorate in engineering from the University of Bath and in 2006 was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II.
