John Brauer

John Brauer graduated from the Kea Copenhagen School of Design and Technology with a degree in architecture and has an MBA in innovation from the Danish Technological University. He founded the design company Essey
around the philosophy that form should represent the nature of an object—a trash can should look like crumpled paper, a fly swatter should look like a fly. among his awards are the Good Design Award (2005, Japan) the Red Dot Design Award (2007), and the iF Product Design Award (2007).
